What Happens to GIF Animation After Blur?

A GIF is a sequence of image frames with timing and looping instructions. This tool renders the animation frame by frame, applies whole-GIF effects or selected fixed rectangles to every rendered frame, and then encodes a new animated GIF. The default export keeps the source dimensions, frame delays, and loop behavior.

GIF output may not have exactly the same file size or color behavior as the original. GIF uses a limited palette of up to 256 colors and supports binary transparency only: a pixel is transparent or opaque, not partly transparent. Strong blur, complex motion, transparency, and many colors can increase output size or introduce small palette differences. Transparent pixels are preserved where supported; if needed, you can use a solid-background fallback during export.
