Compress GIF to 512KB的功能

Strict under-512KB target

This gif compressor 512kb tool balances scale, frame dropping, and lossy compression so the result stays below 512KB. The final size is shown before download.

Discord sticker ready

512KB is the hard limit for custom Discord stickers. The tool aims a little under so your sticker is never rejected by Discord.

Email-safe attachment

Many mail providers clip or block GIFs over 512KB. Compressing to this size keeps your animation in the inline preview instead of a download link.

100% local & private

The GIF never leaves your device. All compression runs in your browser with no server, no account, and no watermark.

How to Compress a GIF to 512KB

With this free gif compressor 512kb tool you can shrink almost any animation to fit the Discord sticker ceiling. To compress gif to 512kb, just drop your file and the tool targets 512KB automatically. If your source is large, the engine also lets you make gif 512kb by scaling the canvas and removing every second or third frame. The whole process runs locally — your GIF never leaves the browser.

The most common reason to compress gif to 512kb for discord is Discord's custom sticker limit: a sticker upload must be 512KB or smaller and 320×320px or less. This page handles the file size; crop to a square first with the GIF Cropper if you also need the 320×320 shape. You can also use this gif compressor to 512kb for any other place that caps animations at half a megabyte.

Prefer a different ceiling? A 512kb gif compressor is one of a family of fixed-size tools — see Compress GIF to 1MB or Compress GIF to 256KB when you need more or less room.

Discord stickers allow up to 512 KB — turn your GIF into a Discord sticker.

How Long an Animation Fits in 512KB

512KB is a tight budget, so the answer depends on dimensions and frame count, not just duration. As a rule of thumb:

  • Small emoji-style GIFs (100–200px): can hold 20–40 frames at a smooth loop and still land under 512KB.
  • Medium GIFs (300–400px): around 12–20 frames is realistic before you approach the limit.
  • Large source GIFs (600px+): you will usually need to scale to ~50–70% and drop frames to fit 512KB at all.

If you start from a 2–5MB GIF, expect the tool to scale down to roughly half size and remove every second frame. That is usually enough to make gif 512kb from a much larger source while keeping the loop recognizable.

Tips When You Cannot Reach 512KB

If the result still hovers above 512KB, try these in order:

  1. Scale further. Dropping to 60% of the original width often cuts the file by more than half.
  2. Drop more frames. Removing every 2nd frame (keep 1 of 2) roughly halves frame data; every 3rd frame goes further.
  3. Accept a tighter color palette. The lossy step reduces colors, which is where most of the final saving comes from at this size.

Still stuck? Your animation may simply need more than 512KB to look acceptable — switch to Compress GIF to 1MB for roughly double the budget.
