JPG (JPEG) is the most universally compatible image format in existence.
Every device, operating system, browser, and application from the last 30 years can open a JPG file without plugins or special software. When a PNG won't attach to an email, a WebP won't open in Microsoft Word, an HEIC photo won't display on a Windows PC, or a BMP file is too large to upload — the solution is always the same: convert to JPG.
All processing is local: Unlike CloudConvert, Convertio, and other online converters that upload your images to a remote server, this tool converts files entirely within your browser. Your photos never leave your device. This matters especially for sensitive images — personal photos, ID documents, and work files that you would not want stored on a third-party server.
| Step | Action |
|---|
| 1. Upload Your Images | Drag and drop files onto the upload area, or click to browse. Supported input formats: PNG, WebP, HEIC (iPhone photos), BMP, GIF, AVIF, and TIFF. You can upload a mix of different formats in the same batch — all will be converted to JPG simultaneously. No account required, no file count limit. |
| 2. Configure Output Settings (Optional) | The default output is high-quality JPG at quality level 90 — this is the optimal balance between file size and visual quality for most use cases. If you need a smaller output file (for example, under 200KB for a government portal), lower the quality setting to 75–80. For maximum quality (printing, professional use), keep quality at 90–95. Transparent areas in PNG and WebP files are automatically filled with a white background. |
| 3. Download Your JPG Files | Click Convert. All files are processed simultaneously and download as a ZIP archive (or individually for single files). The converted JPGs use the same filenames as your originals with the .jpg extension. Files are ready to attach, upload, print, or share immediately. |
