Rotate & Flip

Bulk rotate and flip multiple images — fix sideways photos and mirror images in one pass, no upload.

Key Features of Why Choose Us?

Bulk Image Rotator

Rotate hundreds of images 90° left, 90° right, or 180° at once. Fixes photos that appear sideways on Windows or Mac.

Bulk Image Flipper

Flip multiple images horizontally or vertically in one pass. Mirror selfies, correct text direction, or create reflection effects.

No Upload — Fully Private

All rotation and flipping runs locally in your browser. Your images never leave your device.

Rotate and Flip Tools Available in This Category

This category includes two tools. The Image Rotator rotates images by 90° left, 90° right, or 180°, and also includes a fine-angle adjustment slider for straightening slightly tilted shots (e.g. correcting a 2° horizon tilt). The Image Flipper mirrors images horizontally (left-right reflection) or vertically (top-bottom reflection). Both tools support batch processing — apply the same rotation or flip to hundreds of images simultaneously. All operations run locally in your browser with no file upload.

Why Photos Appear Sideways — and How to Fix Them in Bulk

When you photograph in portrait orientation on a phone, the device records the rotation as EXIF metadata rather than physically rotating the pixels. Most modern apps read this metadata correctly, but some older software (Windows Explorer thumbnails, certain CMS platforms, older printers) ignores it and displays the image sideways. The Bulk Image Rotator permanently rotates the actual pixels to the correct orientation — the EXIF metadata is updated to match — so the photo displays correctly everywhere without relying on software to interpret it. This is the reliable fix when uploading to platforms that ignore EXIF orientation.

Rotate vs. Flip — Which Do You Need?

Rotate turns the entire image around its center point. 90° right turns a portrait photo into landscape. 180° flips the image upside down. Use rotation when a photo is sideways or inverted. Flip creates a mirror image. Horizontal flip (left-right) reverses the image as if seen in a mirror — useful for correcting selfies where text appears backwards, or for creating symmetrical compositions. Vertical flip (top-bottom) reflects the image as if seen in water. Both operations are lossless for PNG and use high-quality re-encoding for JPG.
