Why I Built This Tool
Hello, I'm an independent full-stack developer. The idea for BulkPicTools was born out of a personal frustration in 2024.
I needed to compress a scan of my passport for a visa application. I found dozens of online tools, but every single one asked me to 'Upload' my sensitive document to their server. I hesitated. Who owns that server? How long do they keep my file? Is it encrypted?
I realized that with modern browser technologies like WebAssembly and Nuxt 4, we no longer need servers to resize an image or convert a format. Your computer is powerful enough to do it.
So, I spent my weekends building this platform. My mission is simple: to provide a suite of tools that are as powerful as desktop software but accessible in your browser—without ever compromising your privacy.
